Regional Directors

Regional Directors (RDs) form the hands and feet of OC, giving the ministry unparalleled global reach coupled with acute local expertise. These experienced, proven leaders serve each region where OC works by providing on-site coaching in areas of fundraising, curriculum design, management, strategic planning and governance, as well as building relationships through pastoral care to the leadership of partner institutions. They also research strategic trends and the opportunities and challenges confronting theological education in the region and make recommendations regarding OC’s assistance to partner institutions.

"I spoke at all three Africa Institutes for Excellence on 'Stress: Managing the Silent Killer.' It was sobering to learn of people at each Institute who have suffered stress-related symptoms. This topic was rated as one of the most impactful on all three occasions, and the follow-up Ministry Action Plans completed by the school leaders demonstrated how seriously this subject was being taken as they made plans to lead a more balanced life."

"My overall visit to this Indian partner school, my participation in the graduation service and the faculty workshop I led were an encouragement... They were very enthusiastic to work with me to develop their Vision and Mission Statements and then develop the curriculum and syllabi based on these... The RDs are local people who have the expertise and the deep knowledge of the context... RDs are also engaged in providing pastoral care to the leadership of OC partner schools. One president told me, 'I am unable to express to you how encouraging your visit was to me and to my senior staff during the difficult time we are going through. I cannot forget this human and brotherly touch while difficulties are rising from all sides.'"

"During a visit to one partner school this year, I challenged the leaders to think about strategic planning – how they are going to take the school to a new level and how they are going to reach the whole country with their programs – and offered many recommendations… I also suggested they have a large fundraising meeting with graduates. Expecting 150-200 graduates to come, more than 350 people attended, and 200 churches pastored by graduates committed to give a monthly offering to the school!"

He assists Bill Houston and enables OC to further connect with Africa’s French-speaking countries.

His advisory position allows OC to tap into his rich wisdom, knowledge and counsel on the region.
