Eliú Teo leads the Child Development Program of Compassion International, a holistic program focused on the spiritual, cognitive, physical and social-emotional development of 234 very needy children and teenagers, ages three to 16. One phase called “My Plan for Tomorrow” helps adolescents learn to make plans for their life in each of the four developmental areas.
When youths demonstrate academic and leadership skills, they are encouraged to apply for a special program called “Leadership Development,” which includes the opportunity to study at a university. To date, 41 young people have been beneficiaries of this program and are now serving the Lord and their communities as doctors, engineers, lawyers, social workers and businessmen.
Eliú is a graduate of Central American Theological Seminary (CATS) in Guatemala. The seminary says, “Because of Eliú’s vision, this program has grown.”
He prays for God’s wisdom in reaching the community for Christ through these programs and the ability to lead these young people to their full potential.
